Breaking Up with Sugar

The AMA just reported that America’s higher intake of added sugar is associated with cardiovascular disease. The CDC statistics show that 48% of American children are overweight or obese.

According to Barry Friedman, author of I Love Me More Than Sugar, “We are bribed, rewarded and punished with sugar since birth, and that’s why we’re all addicted.”

In this segment Barry will share with your audience 3 simple steps that will get them far enough away from the addiction so that they can decide what part sugar will play in their life.

In studio cooking segment available.

BarryTEDPongsProps: As a 4-time World Juggling Champion, I will use an 8-lb bowling ball (the amount of sugar an American eats in 3 weeks), a tennis racket, and an apple to show what’s possible when you eat healthy sources of sugar.
